FansPick Contest: More Than Prizes
Sure, the FansPick contest is fun. Competing against fellow fans for bragging rights as the best picker for your team, or heck, even ALL teams is a blast.
But we give you more! We give you prizes. We even take it a step further. If you're the best picker for all the fans of your favorite team, you get to be part of the Fanspoll.com selection committee at season's end.
What the heck is the selection committee?
Glad you asked! At the end of the season, when we go to compile our final Top 25 and pick the national champion, we take a representative from each school's pool of fans to be part of the final selection committee. You make the cut by having the best FansPick score for all the fans of your team whom you're picking against.
As the winner for your school, YOU get to submit the Top 25 representing your team. We take all those Top 25's to compile our master Top 25, and the final national champion.
Weekly Top 25: No Bias Here
One of the biggest criticisms of a fan based poll system is that it's biased. As if sportswriters aren't fans. Or coaches actually do their own voting. (We're looking at you Steve Spurrier's SID). Our system eliminates bias. Every fan on Fanspoll.com can submit a Top 25 each week. We then compile a compiste Top 25 for EACH school based on all the various Top 25s submitted by that school's fans.
After that, we compile a master Top 25 made up of the 119 composites.
Simple as that! And our Top 25s have proven to be as accurate as any of the big boys' polls.
How Do I Get Involved?
First, you need to SIGN UP! It's free. Then go to your dashboard. Fill out your FansPick entry every week. The new week's entries open up on sundays. Then, get your Top 25 in every week (voting opens on Sunday morning and ends Monday at midnight).
