Well we're only 12 point favorites over mighty LA Tech (which I honestly think sounds about right...)
Anyone care to predict how my tigers do this year?
09/05/09 vs. Louisiana Tech W 37-13 09/12/09 vs. Mississippi State W 49-24 09/19/09 vs. West Virginia 09/26/09 vs. Ball State 10/03/09 at Tennessee 10/10/09 at Arkansas 10/17/09 vs. Kentucky 10/24/09 at LSU 10/31/09 vs. Mississippi 11/07/09 vs. Furman 11/14/09 at Georgia 11/27/09 vs. Alabama
Our defense has lost a good bit of talent but is still our strong point, in particularly our Dline anchored by Antonio Coleman. Our offense is still trying to find it's rhythm and QB play will probably be shakey at best if it's anything like last year. New coaching staff etc.
The most interesting game on the schedule to me is vs WVU, since they lost Pat White and are still with a pretty new coach as well. Devine is amazing though... LA Tech, MSU, Ball, UK, and Furman seem like very winnable games. Tennessee and Arkansas are toss ups. I think we can pull off an upset over one of the other teams on our schedule as well, most likely Georgia. We historically play well Between the Hedges and played the Dawgs close last year. Overall I say we go 7-5 and hopefully make it to the Music City Bowl.
I never would've dreamt of saying something like that two years ago.....

I honestly think we could go 9-3, losing to West Virginia, LSU or UGA, and Alabama. I think we'll either lose to LSU or UGA, not both. I do not think we will be horrible this year. But, then again, I think we will either do really good or really bad, no in between. Alabama is going to be a tough team to beat this year. We don't have that hard of a schedule, even though it is the SEC and anything can happen. Ole Miss won't be as good as people think.

I think you are probably right about the record. I am just concerned about how did we get in such bad shape numbers-wise, 75 on scholarship! If I understand the rules correctly, you can only sign a max of 25 a year regardless of the overall numbers, as long as they are not over 85. If that is the case it will take a long time to get the number back up.

Wins- La. Tech, Miss. St, Ball St, UT, UK, Furman Losses- West VA, Arkansas, LSU, UGA, UA Toss-up- Ole Miss (still havent bought into the hype yet)
I'll go 7-5 (4-4 in the SEC) and a Music City birth.

I'll go 7-5 (4-4 in the SEC) and a Music City birth. auburnt could win 6-8 games, ole mist will fade, and I think UT will be better than what people are expecting, despite the clown they hired.

I've gotta agree with UGA....I don't see Awebarn posting a better record than 7-5...new coach, new system, no real offensive weapons to choose from, and I think lack of leadership with this team right....I DO hope I'm wrong about my prediction.

The 7/5 looks about right, but if Todd is what they said he was a few years ago, I think Burns will be a weapon to go to with quick screens. Keep the injury bug down and a little luck, maybe 8 or 9 wins with a upset over someone like LSU or Bama. but anyway WAR D... EAGLE

7-5 is fair I think...maybe even a lil' generous. I think Todd will be on the bench by week three.

Burns is an amazing athlete. He's just not a great quarterback. I really can't register much of an opinion on Caudle since I only have his performance for Spain Park as my basis for judgment. He can't be any worse than Todd was last year.

Wow. 556 yards of offense. I think that we might have a better season than most predicted... And LSwho is in a deadlock with the mighty Washington Huskies!

Count me as unimpressed. 500+ yards of offense against La Tech is an expected outcome. They may be better than advertised, but they are still a mid major. I want to reserve some judgment until AU plays an SEC team.

500+ yards for Auburn against anyone is a large improvement. They had mistakes, but they mistakes that can be fixed. They are not ready for ATL, but a lot closer than they were a year ago. Yes they are better than advertised.
