There is only one true national champion, and that would be THE CRIMSON TIDE of ALABAMA your 2009 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. There is no other way to look at it, thats what the bcs was formulated for , to pair the best two teams in the country and this year they hit it dead on. Name me another undefeated team that has beaten as many ranked teams as Bama, you can't. So in my opinion and anybody else's mind that knows anything about football, you have to recognize Alabama as the true 2009 national champions. And yes utah beat Alabama in the 2008 sugarbowl, but this is not the 2008 season, so get caught up with everyone else Elderjoke and recognize your 2009 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS THE ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE, ROLL TIDE ROLL , BIATCH

By theory you are right Bamer. But they won't be a TRUE nc until there is a playoff system in place, which I don't think will ever happen, unless OBama gets his wish of the BCS.

Hmmmm......well, I DO think BSU shuld be considered in the MIX of being discussed as a possibility..but, let's be honest here...ANYONE outside of the SEC seriously considered as being National Champs....I mean, MAN PLEASE...Just look at recent history....You Make the Call.

This year's award goes to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Here's a video of the awards ceremony http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXOC1fnB6HQ

Exactly.

2008- Utah kills Alabama, barely beats TCU, TCU beats BSU by 1.
2009- TCU kills Utah, BSU beats TCU by 7, goes undefeated. Alabama is 2nd class based on recent history.

They actually give the trophy to the team that wins it?

If that's the case, where's the trophy from 2008, sitting in the admin's garage? Confused
