I asked this on another forum. But I'll ask it here too. With losing 6 defensive starters, your D Cord, O Cord, AND you start a true freshman QB... Is #4 in the country a little ambitious?

I have a hard time seeing these guys not losing at least two games. There's no way a true freshman QB can get them past Ohio St. and Cal and Oregon have a real chance of up ending USC for a Pac-10 Championship.

I just want them to play an SEC team in a BCS game for once. I feel like they get the benefit of being in a soft league.
Though I will give them credit for their OOC schedule.

I don't know man. They just seem to reload year after year. Until the lose some games, color me a skeptic on them being soft.

Well I was wrong about Ohio State. I still don't think these guy are the real deal, but you know that's all ESPN will be talking about until the end of the season.

OSU and USC both looked rather pedestrian last night.

Heaven forbid USC plays an SEC in a bowl game this year. It might get ugly... like their 70-7 win AT Arkansas.

I would LOVE to play USC. We're considerably better than Ohio State, especially on defense and at Quarterback.

USC just reloads every year, so its hard to tell until late in the year if they are over rated. They have a program that is in the mix of things almost every year. I think Pete Carrol is a very good Head Coach.

USC isn't as good this year as their 2005 (i think that was the year they played Arkansas?) team. I wish I could see USC play some SEC teams as well. I dont think USC is as good as they were earlier this decade but they still have plenty of talent. They would beat everyone in the SEC bar Florida and Alabama right now. Auburn is still a question mark as to how good we REALLY are until we play someone decent but they would give USC a fight as well. I still wish I could've seen a matchup between their 2004 teams, that would've been a GREAT game.

I'd love a shot at them right now. I'm not sold on them being as good as they have been in prior seasons.

That was really cool of him running up the score against UCLA. What a classy coach. I mean who wouldnt throw the ball with 44 seconds left when youre winning 21-7? I wish UCLA had gone over and beaten the crap out of all the USC players, they were provoking the fight. Congrats on the 9-3 season Carroll.

Did you see WHY he made that call, or are you just playing naive?

Yes, I do know that the UCLA coach called a timeout, but still, Carroll has ALWAYS been doing stuff like running up the score, its not like its anything new. There was absolutely no need to rub it in UCLAs face like that, even if they are rivals. Its called having some class. That idiot call almost caused a brawl.

Pete Carroll's recipe for success: Lose to good teams beat the lesser ones as bad as you can! He has done it for years, and the media eats it up!
